Dr. Sajja Panduranga Prasad
Profile
Dr. Sajja Panduranga Prasad is a distinguished entrepreneur and industry leader based in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, with more than three decades of experience in agricultural mechanisation, construction equipment technologies, industrial infrastructure, and MSME development. He began his professional career in 1992 with Escorts Limited, where he rose to become Business Head – South India in the Agricultural Machinery Division. During this period, he played a pioneering role in introducing mechanised harvesting technologies for paddy cultivation in South India, including combine harvesters suitable for waterlogged fields and Japanese self-propelled paddy transplantation systems.
Dr Prasad also played a key role in promoting post-harvest paddy straw management practices, including the introduction of paddy straw baling systems using field balers in combine-harvested paddy fields. He contributed to the adoption of baling, polyethene-based packing, and organised storage of paddy straw for transportation and industrial use, helping farmers and industries utilise agricultural residue efficiently. In addition, he possesses extensive expertise in industrial packaging, preservation, and logistics of heavy machinery and construction equipment, including specialised methods for packing, handling, and long-distance transportation of machinery and critical spare parts, ensuring safe shipment and long-term storage.
Since 2000, the founder, Mr. Dr. Panduranga Prasad, has led a successful entrepreneurial journey focused on mechanisation technologies, construction equipment solutions, and industrial infrastructure development. Dr Prasad currently leads Sajjas Vishnutek Engineering, representing LiuGong construction equipment in Andhra Pradesh. He has also been associated with renewable energy initiatives and solar power projects, contributing to the development of sustainable energy infrastructure in India.
